Ayana Barrow

The Florida Bar Foundation has appointed Central Florida lawyer Ayana Barrow to its board of directors for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2023.  Barrow is In-house Staff Counsel for Acceptance Insurance Company where she practices civil litigation.

After earning her law degree from Capital University Law School, Barrow practiced as an assistant state attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office. She went on to be in-house staff counsel for Geico General Insurance Company.

In 2021, Barrow was elected to the board of directors for the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association and currently serves as its treasurer.  In 2022, she was elected to The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors. She is a member of the Seminole Florida Association of Women Lawyers (SFAWL) and the Central Florida Association of Women Lawyers (CFAWL), where she currently serves as Communications Director.

Barrow is also president-elect of the Paul C. Perkins Bar Association and previously served as their treasurer and special and social events chair. She previously served on the Orange County Bar Association’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee as a co-chair and launched the OCBA’s first Diversity and Inclusion Certification Program.

In December 2023, The Florida Bar Foundation changed its name to FFLA. Posts prior to this date contain our former name.
