Children and Families Clinic: In-house clinic that represents children with contemporaneous issues in dependency, delinquency, mental health and special education cases

Homelessness and Legal Advocacy Clinic: In-house clinic that provides homeless clients legal assistance with public benefits, family law, consumer law, employment law and criminalization of homelessness issues.

Carlos A. Costa Immigration and Human Rights Clinic: represents indigent immigrants of all nationalities in various immigration matters, including refugees seeking asylum in U.S. as a result of political persecution, Cuban and Haitian nationals seeking relief under country-specific immigration legislation, and other vulnerable populations, such as abused spouses and children, unaccompanied minors, and aliens subject to immigration detention at the Krome and Boys Town detention facilities; and Community Development Clinic: provides free legal services for small businesses and non-profit organizations targeting services toward minorities or women owned businesses. Helps agencies with projects for low income communities

Public Interest Law Center: Funding requested for the Family Law (in-house) clinic section of this Center that represents indigent with domestic violence & family law problems. Also, provides representation in ancillary issues to cases, such as bankruptcy, consumer and social security

Children and Families Clinic: In-house clinic that represents indigent persons in family court (divorce & paternity) and DV court of Broward County. Also, occasionally assists Guardian Ad Litem with legal representation in matters relating to children before the dependency court and assists with return of children wrongfully removed under Hague Convention.

Immigration Clinic: In-house clinic committed to serving asylum seekers, battered spouses, and other indigent immigrants in need of services including long-time Permanent Residents facing Removal Proceedings because of prior criminal convictions

Virgil Hawkins Civil Clinics: 1) Full Representation Clinic:family law-divorce, paternity, guardianships, post trial modifications and enforcements; 2) Pro Se Clinic: unbundled family law clinic; and 3) GatorTeam Child Juvenile Law Clinic: represents children in dependency, delinquency, education and social security cases

Children & Youth Law Clinic: Provides legal services for children in the foster care system (in dependency, mental health, disability, education, immigration and other matters), and engages in law reform litigation, legislative and policy advocacy. Additionally, this clinic provides training and technical assistance for lawyers, judges, and other professionals on substantive children’s law, lawyering skills and professional ethics. The clinic also participates in interdisciplinary research and produces legal scholarship and training materials on diverse issues concerning children in the legal system; and Community Health Rights Education Clinic: provides legal education, advice and advocacy in the areas of health rights, public benefits, education, permanency planning, housing and immigration. Students staff offices in three medical settings.

Immigration Clinic: Students provide services to clients facing deportation or seeking status in U.S. under a variety of claims, including: VAWA, asylum, and LPRs facing deportation

The Family Law Clinic (section of the Public Interest Law Center) is an in-house clinic that provides representation to indigent clients in all areas of family law. Also, provides representation in ancillary issues to family law cases, such as bankruptcy, consumer and social security.

In-house family law litigation clinic that represents indigent persons in family court. Representation includes some Hague Convention/out of country missing & exploited children cases.
