Miami attorney Miriam Soler Ramos appointed to FFLA board of directors

The Florida Bar has appointed Miami attorney Miriam Soler Ramos to FFLA’s board of directors for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2025.

Ramos is a real estate attorney at Holland & Knight, where she focuses her practice on land use and zoning, administrative law, government ethics compliance and defense, procurement, and representing local governments and instrumentalities. She is board certified by The Florida Bar in city, county and local government law.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ramos served as city attorney for the City of Coral Gables, where she was the chief legal officer and general counsel to the city. She previously served as deputy city attorney and city prosecutor and held several roles at the Miami-Dade County Commission on Ethics and Public Trust, including deputy general counsel and deputy advocate. She began her legal career as an assistant state attorney in Miami-Dade County.

Ramos earned her law degree and bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami. She currently serves as president-elect of the University of Miami Law Alumni Association and serves on the board of the Girl Scouts of Tropical Florida and Friends of The Underline. She is also a member of the Florida Supreme Court Judicial Ethics Advisory Committee and serves as Treasurer of the City, County and Local Government Law Section’s executive council. She is a past president of the Cuban American Bar Association (“CABA”) and serves on the board of CABA’s Foundation. In 2023, she was selected to participate in Leadership Florida’s Cornerstone Class 41.
