2015-16 Citi Community Economic Development Grants
The Foundation seeks to make an impact on the affordable housing crisis for low-income individuals and families through funding to support community economic development legal assistance projects focused on the development and preservation of housing units. The Foundation also seeks to increase the capacity of Florida’s legal services providers to engage in meaningful community development legal assistance by creating opportunities for programs to enter into mentor/partner relationships with other Florida legal services providers who have an established track record of successful community development practices. Through this grant program, two lead agencies/legal services providers will each partner/mentor with another legal services provider. Jacksonville Area Legal Aid will be the lead agency in North Florida and Legal Services of Greater Miami will be the lead agency in South Florida. This is a one-time grant program made possible by funding received from Citibank and will cover two years.
