The primary purpose of pilot pro bono grants was to expand and improve pro bono legal services by Legal Assistance for the Poor grantees of the Foundation*. An additional purpose was to demonstrate successful strategies and techniques to address barriers and challenges to the expansion and improvement of pro bono services and the utilization of pro bono attorneys.
