Tampa lawyer Joseph Kadow appointed to Foundation board

The Florida Bar Foundation has appointed Tampa lawyer Joseph Kadow to its board of directors for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2023.

In 2019, Kadow retired from Bloomin’ Brands Inc. after serving as its executive vice president and chief legal officer for 25 years. There, had responsibility for their legal, human resources, risk management, crisis management, communications, and government relations functions. He designed and administered the Outback Steakhouse Managing Partner and Joint Venture Partner programs.

Kadow earned his law degree from the Dickinson School of Law of Penn State University. Prior to joining Bloomin’ Brands, he was a partner with BakerHostetler.

He currently serves as a member of the board of directors, chairman of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and member of the Audit Committee of BRP Group, Inc. In 2016, he chaired the board of directors of the National Restaurant Association and continues to serve as an active past chair. He is also a director-at-large of the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association.

In December 2023, The Florida Bar Foundation changed its name to FFLA. Posts prior to this date contain our former name.
