Legal Director Project: For support of the Legal Director Project in defense of fundamental rights and to conduct legal rights public education programs to increase its case load throughout the state and broaden the array of cases taken; expand and better utilize the volunteer cooperating attorneys; establish unique principles of law as they relate to the ability of Florida Courts to redress civil rights violations.

Alternative Dispute Resolution in Farmworker Cases: To supplement the Migrant Alternative Dispute Resolution Project, a one-year pilot project to develop and implement an “alternative dispute resolution” process to resolve wage and other labor disputes by migrant workers.

The Battered Women’s Clemency Project: For support of the Battered Women’s Clemency Project for a three year period. The project will represent women prisoners convicted of murdering their batterers prior to the admissibility of expert witness testimony on “battered women’s syndrome” in applying for executive clemency.

Florida Indigent Services Project: For two-year support of the Florida Indigent Services Project to increase access of low income people to judicial and administrative relief from environmental pollution, to promote environmental laws and rules which do not discriminate against low income people, and to promote the involvement of private bar and poverty lawyers in meeting the legal needs of the indigent regarding pollution problems.
